Maternity Photo Shoot

I finally got some of my shots back from the maternity photo shoot we had about 6 weeks ago. I have been hanging out for them and was also slightly terrified I would hate them all. But I don’t! I love them! I am so so happy with the results. She hasn’t actually finished editing our whole shoot yet so there are more to come. It will be so hard to choose what makes the wall.

For anyone in Northern NSW or South East Queensland looking for a photographer we used Enigma Visions Photography based at Tweed Heads. Their pricing is competitive and they do Newborn, Maternity, Family Shoots and Weddings and as you can see the quality is great. Our package includes these maternity shots, a newborn shoot and then a mini family shoot when baby is 6-9 months old. I am so excited for our pics once baby arrives as these have blown me away.

    • That’s a shame. Well maybe have a hunt around or post on a local Facebook Buy, Swap, Sell page. You never know what you might be able to find. Often photographers who are starting businesses have good deals as they are looking to beef up their portfolios. Def do a bit of research. I didn’t get them done with Monkey so really wanted to do it this time as I really do love being pregnant so wanted to record that experience. x

  11. Such beautiful pics! I love the ones at the beach. I never got newborn pics with H and I regretted it. We got some done with Woo, just super casual around the house and I love them so much! Will def get some done again in a few months.

    It is always worth it to get the professionals in every now and then, especially as we never seem to get our iPhone pics printed. Can’t wait to see all the newborn pics 🙂

    • Yeah totally. I got Saxon’s newborn ones all printed into one of those photobooks you can get online and I’ll do the same with these maternity ones. That way there is an album at least that I can go back to from time to time.

    • Thank you 🙂 I got the final batch through this morning (these were sneak peaks) and oh my there are so many! She edited 134 shots for me and we get all the digitals. Such good value. So once I get them I will post a selection of my favs as there are some other really nice ones in there. So happy!

  18. OMG these are breathtaking! Thank you so much for sharing. It makes me reconsider not doing maternity photos. I have actually not taken a single picture since our transfer in November. Crazy right!
    I can’t wait to see pictures of your LO! I am so glad things are going well for you 🙂

  22. So stunning!!! Monkey is adorable, Eric is hot and you’re super sexay. Not even regular sexy. But sexay, sexy.

    I can’t pick a fave although I really love the family shots and I’m kind of partial to the ones of you in the lacy black bra where you’re kind of dreamily thinking about baby. It’s a beautiful mixture of earthy, sensual and maternal.

    Aren’t the shoots funny? It all looks so natural but when you think about it, when are you ever going to be on a rocky beach in a tutu staring down at your bump, looking beautific? When DH and I were doing ours we kept cracking up at our so called natural poses ☺️😜😉

    I’m a cheap ass mofo, but of all the new mom stuff I did and regret, the photo session was NOT among them. I needed a record and I think our kids will cherish these. It sounds maudlin, but I know from personal experience it’s not because it’s something that gives me great comfort and happiness – one day when we’re gone or very old, our kids will look back and remember us as beautiful mothers – but they’ll also see the whole person. I think that’s so cool…..

    • Haha thx hon. You are too sweet. And yes, the shoots are SO funny. I have never been one to practice poses in the mirror so I really had no idea how to stand in my underwear and tutu! It was fun to do the tutu thing as it is not something I would ever normally wear even for dress ups. I liked it! I agree about giving the kiddies something to look back on. My mum was quite gorgeous when she was young and I always loved looking back at her wedding photos. I want my children to also see that I was always old and that I had such joy for having them in our lives xx
