21DGH – Day 8 Food

With all the crazy lump stuff going on in my head (which I’m sure is FINE, just brain going a bit monkey crackers) I’m not feeling too chatty tonight so I’m going to just get right into the food.

Breakfast: Warm water with lemon on waking. Followed by 1/2 avocado mashed with lemon and pepper on my ancient grains oat sourdough slice and a boiled egg. This might become one of my all time favourite brekkies actually!

Snack: Wasn’t that hungry but forced in a pear as wanted to have the fruit.

Lunch: I had a friend over for lunch and I made us Spiced Moroccan Lentil Soup. It is sooooooooo tasty. I love it. She bought me a plant! Just because. Such a sweetheart. I also love that.

Snack: A piece of my Raw Salted Caramel Chocolate – total comfort eating but was happy with just 1. So strange.

Dinner: Last serve of that Creamy Chicken and Cauliflower Rice Soup

Total Calories: 1188

I am honestly so full and just not in the mood for eating anymore today. Interestingly I’m not even craving sitting down with comfort food and I think the hard yards I’ve put into healthy eating this last week are to thank for that.  In fact, that is pretty awesome actually, that I’m a wee bit stressed and I’m not reaching for the food. I’m not saying that I am resisting, I am saying there is no desire for the shitty stuff at all. How awesome is that? What a reward. And so soon!

Catch you guys again tomorrow.

  1. Fantastic day – and even more amazing is that you have reached the point where you don’t even want it. I AM SO JEALOUS! haha! Seriously though, that is amazing. You are doing brilliantly. Looking forward to tomorrow’s post! X

  2. Do you have a recipe for that Spiced Moroccan soup? Good job on your daily calorie intake! I can’t believe I did it, I got all caught up! Nevermind, I just realized I still haven’t read your Canada updates, lol. Will be back!!

    • Yes I do. Mine is a Thermomix recipe but I will convert it and post it. I can’t believe you got all caught up either. That is quite the effort given I’ve been posting every day while on this challenge !! I’m impressed. Thank you for reading 🙂 Yes go back and check out the Canada post as there are some cute pics in there.

        • Yeah I think decaf while you are still feeling addicted could be problematic. I definitely think you could introduce down the track though and just have one here of there. It definitely is a good fooler and fulfils the habit side of the need. I guesd you are having tea for that at the minute?

          • Yep. Tea. But I don’t crave tea like coffee. (Imagery: Fangs out. LOL.) Hope you are great. Watching you makes me tweak things here and there I know are sub-optimal for me. Keep it up. (Although the 1200 calorie deal is a bit stiff.)

            • Haha I honestly don’t feel limited by it. If anything I think I could have more veges and they wouldn’t add up to much more in calories at all. The craving is all part of the addicition isnt it. I think that’s why decaf works for me. It doesn’t create an addicition and because I’m not addicted I don’t form a habit. Apparently whem my friend has her whole breadt cancer diagnosis recently they wanted to know if she drank coffee. Tea they weren’t concerned about even though it has some caffeine but coffee they were.
