All systems go!

Well it looks like we are back in the game for this month after all. Hooray!

AF didn’t arrive until Monday and when I counted it out based on the timeline Dr had given me I worked out that he would be back for the egg collection. After meeting with the clinic today it has come to my attention that I am not 100% correct – there is a risk that egg collection will be earlier – but I was there and it was all happening and I just thought blow it, let’s get the show on the road and see how the cards fall.

So I had my first needle at the clinic today.

For those playing at home and wanting to know the itty bitty details here they are:

I’m on 150iu of Gonal F to stimulate the follicles. That started today.

After 5 days I then have 250mcg Orgalutran (also daily) to hold off ovulation.

First scan to check out progress of all the stims is next Monday (less than a week – yay!).

I’m a cross between excited, scared and overwhelmed but overall just glad to get this show on the road. It’s happening!
